I. Introduction
Welcome to galapagospronto.com (the "Site"), operated by Ecua Ventures LLC, doing business as Galapagos Pronto ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Site and any booking you make through us.
II. Acceptance of terms
By using the Site or making a booking with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or book through us.
III. Our role
We are a travel agency. We resell Galapagos cruises and land-based tours that are owned and operated by third-party vessel operators and tour companies. We arrange and manage your booking; the operator is responsible for delivering the cruise or tour itself.
Availability, itineraries and prices shown on the Site are drawn from our suppliers and can change. We confirm the current price and availability with you before any booking is finalised.
IV. Enquiries & bookings
Enquiries are made through the Site (including WhatsApp and our cabin-request form). No payment is taken on the website. Once we have confirmed availability and price, your booking is arranged directly with us and payment is made by the methods below.
V. Payment & deposits
Cruises booked within 65 days of departure: 100% payment is required to secure the reservation.
Cruises booked more than 65 days before departure: a 30% deposit is required to secure the reservation, with the balance due 65 days before departure.
Land tours booked within 65 days of departure: 100% payment is required to secure the reservation.
Land tours booked more than 65 days before departure: a deposit of US$500 per person is required to secure the reservation, with the balance due 65 days before departure.
Payment methods: wire transfer or Zelle (no fee), or credit card (subject to a 3% processing fee).
VI. Cancellations & refunds
Cruises: if cancelled 65 or more days before departure, the 30% deposit is forfeited; if cancelled within 65 days of departure, 100% of the price is forfeited.
Land tours: if cancelled 61 or more days before departure, the deposit is forfeited; if cancelled 60–31 days before departure, 50% of the price is forfeited; if cancelled 30 or fewer days before departure, 100% of the price is forfeited.
Some operators apply their own cancellation rules; where these are stricter, they will be made clear before you book.
VII. Travel itineraries
Itineraries may change due to weather, Galapagos National Park regulations, operational requirements, or events beyond our or the operator’s control. The operator commits to delivering the essential components of the itinerary and to making reasonable efforts to minimise any disruption.
VIII. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveller obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including medical coverage, emergency evacuation/repatriation, and trip cancellation, valid for the duration of the trip.
IX. Passports, visas & entry
You are responsible for ensuring you hold a valid passport and any visas or entry documents required for Ecuador and the Galapagos, and for meeting all Galapagos entry requirements. We are not liable for any consequence of incomplete or incorrect travel documentation.
X. Health & medical
You are responsible for seeking appropriate medical advice for your trip. Operators may require you to complete a medical form, and certain activities may carry health requirements.
XI. Liability & disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we cannot be held responsible for injury, death, delay, loss, or damage arising in connection with a cruise or tour operated by a third party. Travel of this kind carries inherent risks, which you accept when you book.
XII. User conduct
You agree to respect fellow travellers, comply with local laws and Galapagos National Park rules, and follow the reasonable instructions of guides and crew. Conduct that endangers others or seriously disrupts a trip may result in removal without refund.
XIII. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas. The parties will seek to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation, and, failing that, through arbitration or mediation.
XIV. Changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date below reflects the current version.
